7-0018-EN-How do I allow Free Shipping on Some Products but not all?
Article
ShopFactory is designed to allow one common shipping method for all products.   The only way to achieve free shipping on some products is to calculate Shipping based on Weight.

Those products with zero weight will have free shipping and those products with > 0 weight will have shipping costs applied.

So For example I have the following scenario.

Product A costs $20 and requires free shipping.
Product B cost $10 and weighs 2kg

Shipping is calculated as follows:-

up to 500g by Airmail costs $10
500g - 3kg by Airmail costs $12
3kg - 10 kg by Airmail costs $20

For simplicity we are located in Australia and only Ship to Australia
To achieve this do the following:-

1. Select Properties => Shipping Charges from the Menu
2. The shipping Charges window will display as below

3. Click on "Enter my own Shipping Charges" and Click on the box marked Airmail.

4.  A Setup Regions - Air window will display. Click on Local Region and Click the Ok Button.

5. It will ask "Will this method be available for all Products?" Yes or NO  - Click the Yest button.

6. You will return to the  Shipping Settings window, so Click on the Next button.

7. Now you will get the Shipping Charges window below

8. Click on Air => Local Region (for my example). Choose "by weight" in Calculate Charges, and click on the + (add button) To add charges.

9. The window below pops up. It will not let  you enter a weight of zero however to make this work enter a small number in the To range.  So I have entered 0.010 in weight. This means for 0 - 0.010 Shipping charges are  $A0.0  (free shipping).  Then Click Ok

10. Repeat Step 8 and Enter  0.010 - 0.500 $10.00, Click Ok

11. Repeat Step 8 and Enter 0.500 - 3.00 $12.00 and Click Ok

12. Repeat Step 8 and Enter 3.00kg - 10.00 kg $20.00 and Click Ok

13.  Shipping charges will now look like the window below with all the ranges entered.

14. Click Finish to accept the Shipping amounts.

15. Now Add Product A $20 and enter weight of zero as per below

16. Now Add Product B $10.00 but Add weight of 2kg to your shop.

17. Preview and add Product A to basket and you will see zero shipping applies.

18. Now Go back and Add Product B to Basket and go to checkout

19. Now you can apply this method to your Own shop with your Own Shipping Charges and Products
