To resolve lag time in ShopFactory follow thesesteps :

1.       OpenNorton Antivirus 2010 Protection Centre.

2.       Choose“ Settings” next to the “Computer” in the top section.

3.       Oncethe Computer settings window opens, half way down you’ll see “ Exclusion / Scan Exclusions” – select “ Configure [+]”.

4.       Oncethe configure window opens, under the “Real Time Protection Exclusions”, choosethe “ Add” button.

5.       Thenin the add item window – make sure “Include subfolders” is checked and clickthe “folder” icon.

6.       Inthe folder dialog box, choose “ShopFactory V8 Websites” (or your main shop filelocation if not under the default ShopFactory site folder location).

-Repeat steps 3 through 5 for each folder you needto exclude from Norton Antivirus 2010 Real Time scans (IE.: If you haveShopFactory 7 installed, you will need to set-up that folder for exclusion).

Choose okay and apply/save - close all NortonProtection windows.

Open ShopFactory and the lag issue will be resolved,as the source website shop files are no longer being scanned while working inShopFactory.
